I have an AMD64 3000+ running on stock cooling. Idle, it runs at around 45C, and at load after running Prime95 for around 4 hours it goes up to around 60C. My case temps stay ok, it's just the processor that goes up.

1. Are these temps ok?

2. I have one 120mm fan blowing out the back. I have room for one more in the front. What is a good, quiet, and cheap 120mm fan? Preferably from Newegg.

3. If I were to upgrade my HSF, which I would rather not, which would be a good, quiet, and cheap HSF to get? How would removing the old stock HSF work? How would I clean the pad from the processor and add AS5?
 
I'm not sure about the fans, but whats what the idle/load temps on the processor?! That thing shouldnt even hit 45C at full load :eek:

What are your ambiant temps? If your HSF is sucking hot air, its not going to do a very good job :p

I would check to make sure your heatsink is properly seated and you're properly using thermal compound.
60C on stock cooling is very very warm for a 3000+.
