I reapplied the thermal compound on my cpu, but it runs at 82C idle, anyone know what i can do to lower that?

what thermal compound?
what HSF?
do you still have the original thermal pad on there?

My Zalman hsf didnt fit. I figured this out after i took off the stock hsf, so i had to reapply arctic silver 5 on the stock hsf. I used the link you provided before and i applied and reapplied the as after cleaning it off with Isopropyl Alcohol (91%).

your Zalman didn't fit?! that sucks...hopefully you can still return it to newegg?

heh..idk what to say, email AMD tech support and tell them about your abnormal temps, they'll prob'ly hook you up w/ a new CPU...

or try newegg's tech support.

Well I didn't buy the Zalman off newegg, got it at fry's. It would fit if the ram wasnt in the way. Would it be possible to put my ram in DIMM2 and DIMM3 instead of 1 and 2?
