I am so very very frustrated right now. Ok here goes the 1,928,439th thread on overclocking these chips.
I have a 3000+ winchester with A8V board and PDP PC3200 2-2-2-5 RAM, and 400W antec PS.
First off, I set the memory to 3-4-4-10 DDR400(2:1in BIOS) 2.8V, and HTT at 800mhz(4x), with CPU at 200x9 1.6V. Boots memtest fine.
Change CPU to 228x9...fine
Change CPU to 229x9...memtest doesn't boot right.
Change CPU to 270x8...fine
What's up with that? The very first time I oc'ed, I followed someones suggestion on here to lower the RAM down to DDR200, then raise FSB up as high as possible. Booted into windows fine at 270x9, now if I try to enable DDR200 in my BIOS, memtest won't boot. Any explanation for that? have tried BIOS 1006, 1007, 1008, 1009.4 and the dividers (1:1, 3:2, 4:3, 5:3, only 2:1 lets me boot memtest) dont work on any of em.
Help make my day better...
