I posted here explaining my situation. I will be buying one of these to solve my problem.

With this motherboard and 1 stick of Rosewill DDR400 512MB, can I expect to OC my processor?

If so, does anyone have any recommendations for my situation?

Go for the pad. Or buy a fancy heatsink, the bolt-on ones work with ease. Or sand off the bottom of the retention bracket a few mm.

As for the board, check if it has a pci lock as this is needed if you want more than a slight oc. If it turns out not to have it I'd recommend a new board if you want more speed.

Oh well, I'm not wanting to spend extra money on a new board. Stock speeds will be fine for me. But I figure, I have a mobile processor so it should OC quite well, correct? How would I find the PCI lock? Manual? BIOS? Help me out here.

Google. Or experimentation: lower the multi as far as it goes, lower the ram ratio as far as it goes (1/2) and see what the highest htt is you can get. If you can't get past 220 you prolly don't have a lock, if you get past 250 then you're all set to oc.
