playing with bios Iurned off the external R7 250 card and the Integrated graphics slowed to crawl. 19 fps in Heaven and down to 14 in Valley. Do I have to remove the R7 250 from the machine for the integrated a10 graphics to give full speed? bios was set at primary integrated.frame buffer at auto, multi monitor off.

Depends on cooling you have and great deal on you ram speed. Not sure dGPU has influence, could, just I am not sure.

Doesn't AMD Crossfire the iGPU and dGPU together?
With what he has yes. But maybe that is why he is having issues. The dGPU and iGPU will not bench the same. However I do not know of hand what a 250 gets in heaven and valley.

I was experimenting I thought if I disabled the external card The a10 would be enough. I need access to the PC1X1 slot which the external card covers. I don't want to buy another R7 if the a10 would suffice. I think the performance was way better on the integrated with no extenal card plugged in.

You're generally better off with just the dedicated card by itself without the iGPU in these cases. Crossfire adds a lot of overhead and the iGPUs aren't very powerful in the first place.

Also as I mentioned earlier, you need high speed ram. 1600 is crap with an APU. going to 2133 nets 20% (well with the 7850 at its release). 2400 would be proper. My wife has the 7870K @4.5Ghz but using a dGPU, 7700.

Ram is Gkill ares 2400 clocked at 2133 stable I checked other benchmarks and mine is typical , put the R7 250 back in and all is good If I really want performance have to go totally discrete... Oh well get 40-45 on witcher 3 in dual graphics mode at 1366X768.....guess it wiil have to do for now
