Was doing some reading and saw this linkhere and was wondering if anybody has seen the firmware around? i doubt pioneer will rls it cuz they could just buy a 120 dollar dvd burner and put the firmware on it and bam u have a dual layer burner for cheap.... was curious if anybody thinks somebody will create a hacked version :|?
 
Nope, not going to happen. It was a Pioneer A06 case, but the electronics were pretty extensively modified. DOn't expect dual-layer capability from any of the current crop of DVD burners.
