i suppose. i've been on hold for 30 min trying to reach bfg tech. this 1st impression with bfg really ruined it for me...kind of like a bad 1st date. :)
But wait man, BFG is recommended by HardOCP, they must be good!!!!!!

Oh no wait, shoot, their tech support is far beyond anyones expectations, you an actual consumer believe that right?

yeah well, your personal experience (which counts for anyone elses), proves it.

Thanks.

I've total and complete opposite experiences.

Like Cleanslate said, all manu's have issues here and there, its a fact of life. Its simply how they handle them that makes them good or bad.

Yes, I do own a BFG 6800nu, and I have used many of their cards. And yes, I've used their tech support a number of times.

sorry for going on a tangent, but would most people consider BFG to be a premium brand for graphics cards?

I personally consider to be the best, or at least one of the very best. I'd place them in the levels of the best like Leadtek, MSI, eVGA etc.

You didnt go on a tangent. Its generally the first thing to do when something goes wrong to get upset fairly quickly. Just be claim about it and have paitences, it'll go easier this way.

You haven't been on hold until you have been on hold with MSI. Every 3 mins you have to push 1 or was it 7, or you get booted off on to voice mail. 45 mins of waiting and pushing the button, just to find out why the hell they rejected my shipment. They told me that he RMA number wasn't visable, in which I responded that Stevie Wonder could see that RMA number on the 4 sides of the box.
