It sits a bit weird on the card, but it fits and works fine. The only thing is you can't use the ramsinks without taking some chunks out of the heatsink..
 
Just take out some screws to remove the stock heatsink. You won't know about the ramsinks untill you're installing it. Make sure you clean off the gpu and ram with alcohol or acetone. And keep the heatsink (and screws:) ) and the original ramsinks if for some reason you need to rma your card. Those zalman heatsinks work miracles expect a 10-15C idle drop if you apply arctic silver 5 thermal grease properly.
 
When you say stock ramsink, do you mean the angled heatsink below the main heatsink/fan on the card? That's the heatsink for the HSI bridge. Do not remove that.
 
Yeah, I confused myself for a second. If you put the VF700 on an AGP 6600GT, the layout of the card forces the VF700 to hang over the memory. Some of the ramsinks included with the VF700 won't fit cleanly underneath the VF700. All you have to do is a little grinding down of the ones that are interfered with and they'll fit. And yes, you should see great results with it compared to the stock cooler.
