• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

The panel type in the 3007 (S-IPS) is supposedly the best for viewing angles and there's not that much reflective coating either. So it will be interesting to find out more about what your experiencing because it sounds atypical for S-IPS.

Who knows, maybe Dell has switched to PVA for the A02 models.

All Dell 3007WFP's are S-IPS panels as far as I know. The viewing angle on mine are fine.

All lcd monitors shift colors and/or wash out when you view it from angles other than straight on. The 3007 is better than most in this area, the 2407 certainly won't solve this problem.

I've never found the 30" to be too big, in a program like visual studio i can have all the tool windows open and not have the workspace being cramped. Some applications do have a bit too much empty space when maximized though which can be distracting. I usually just run programs like this in a window instead of fullscreen, in fact i run virtually everything windowed since it lets me work on multiple things at once. The monitor does have almost as much resolution as two 24" dispays afterall.

i'm not sure if 30" is the right size for me...it just feels too big especially for excel. i might exchange it for the 2407. good idea?

Well it it feels too big then exchange it. I myself went for 2407 because its 1920x1200 resolution and size is good for my desktop. Also pixel pitch is only 0.05mm larger than my 17" 1280x1024 and not lot smaller like in 30". Another reason ofcourse is gaming on 2560x1600 requirements.
