For my daughter's ninth birthday this year, we had her party at a local wildlife preserve. The party begins with an hour or so "hayride" around the park to see and in some cases feed the animals and then back to the resort for the party.
Not thinking the crazy things were going to come right up to the wagon, I brought my 70-200VR - wow - waaaaay too long! Anyhow, other than being at a strange angle above the beasts, having them walk straight for the camera (food, ya know) and tripping over children, I managed to get a few good(ish) shots:
You'd never know by looking at this fuzzy face but this musk-ox was huge!
The big moose were a bit on the shy side. It also didn't help that the elk (below) was nearby at the time.
This is "Benny", the elk. He followed the wagon everywhere it went with his big head almost in it most of the time. He finally slowed down a bit at one point so I could grab this image.
