I can't find a better place for this so I'll trow it down here and hope for the best.

I know Smart Watches are possibly the biggest thing for geeks right now who are actually looking for a watch. But I don't really want a Smart Watch, or at least, I haven't found a Smart Watch that I would want yet.

That being said, I'm still looking for a watch, an unusual watch, a watch that says "I'm a geek", not a watch that says I'm a sterotypical nerd"

I guess I could highlight the difference like this;

Nerd Watch:

Geek Watch:

Anyone have a good sourc for such watches?

EDITED, I had to get rid of the really huge pics, sry.

The look, not the function.

Then again, I suppose one's personal concept of what a geek is must in some way compliment the watch's design :D

Those are terrible. If you want a watch with actual nerd cred, look into an Omega Speedmaster. That's the official watch of NASA, and the first watch worn on the moon. It's a classic, will hold it's value, and looks like something an actual adult would wear.

A 48 x 55mm chronograph on a twig wrist will make you look like a dork especially when all it does is tell time which a phone already does.

A clean modern and functional geek watch is the Galaxy Gear S2 3G or maybe the classic but not yet sold on the geared bezel until I see in person.

A list of other space watches. You can read more about the Speedmaster vs. Strela here. TAG Heuer also did a limited edition Carrera SpaceX watch to commemorate its involvement in the space race.

As a Pebble Steel and Pebble Time Steel owner, I thought about getting the Pebble Round but they did the one thing I couldn't abide ... they reduced battery run time to apple watch like levels. The price of thin design I guess?

The original Pebbles could do a week to 10 days no problem. The Round only lasts 2 days. I don't mind charging once a week but every day or two days is stupid for a watch.
