I'm gonna upgrade and add in a video card to my gateway 500gr which has a intel 3.0 ghz, 200gb hard drive, 300watt psu and 512mb ram.

I thinking about upgrading the ram and psu and add in a video card.
I have about 300$ to spend but the less money i use the better.

This is what im thinking about:
for ram: this CORSAIR ValueSelect 1GB (2 x 512MB)
for a psu:im not really sure what is compatible psu with my computer but here on my motherboard site it list atx and atx12v so can i use atx and atx12v psu's? if so can someone reccomend a good cheap 400+watts psu for me?
for video card: this Leadtek PX6600GT TDH Geforce 6600GT should i change the video card to something else?

is there any thing i should change on ram, psu or video card?
would this be a good upgrade for the money? this

Make sure that the PSU is not proprietary. Everything else looks good. You might even be able to get away without upgrading the PSU.

i recently just found this MSI X800 Pro for 199 should i go with this instead of the 6600gt ?

and im probably gonna go with this psu
XClio 450BL 450W i heard it was made from the same people who made antec psu

yeah for those 30-40$ the X800pro is a much better card

That psu looks good also

Enjoy
