If you face the problem. After you shutdown or hibernate, LAN / NIC LED still light on.
Because of you have onboard LAN such as broadcom or Marvell chips.

I found the solution right now....nobody reports it before....not found in google.

We need to set this configuartion:

Device Manager > Network Adapter > Properties > Advanced > Wake Up Capabilities = None

It's a bug that never been fix. Eventhough we disable "Wake On LAN" already. The LED will still light on when we shutdown or hibernate. Note that "Wake On LAN" normally disabled by default factory. Linksys and Intel chips doesn't face this problem.

It look like "Wake Up Capabilities" independent from "Wake On LAN".
The driver need to fix these problem.

Normally, "Wake on LAN" was disabled by default, but LED still light on after shutdown.

I don't see this as a problem at all either... .

WakeOnLAN is a technology employed by pretty much ALL motherboards with onboard NICs. Even with PCI NICs, it's still employed with (or without, in some cases) a WOL Cable, connecting the NIC and the motherboard.

It uses an absolute TRICKLE of power, nothing at all you could clock in on electricity bill savings, so really - I don't see the point of wanting to fix this 'issue'... .
