A small, simple server rack?

I'm so tired of the "cram everything in and hope it stays cool" approach to cases. I'm already trying to figure out where to put more hard drives and another optical drive. I'm also going to need a new psu and will probably be upgrading my GPU in the next 6 months. I want a case that's simple, modular, expandable, easy to work on, relatively open air, and doesn't cost a fortune. Why not a small rack?

Any suggestions?

Racks are ways to densely pack multiple cases. If you have a single machine, you're going to want to stick to a good standalone server case with lots of drive bays. If you need more hard drives than will fit in the case, I'd suggest an NAS.
