"A security upgrade is....." Windows Media Player

My brother sent me a mpeg file today, though when I try to open it in Windows MP 10 this message comes up...

"A security upgrade is required to play this file. Do you want to download this upgrade?"

what's this about? he got the same message so I told him to send it to me, and the same message pops up.

it sends me to this page: microsoft page

the video probabaly employs some form of Digital Rights Management... i.e. it's copyrighted so you need a newer form of WMP to play it?

nah i got WMP 10. Me thinks it some sort of copyright issue, ah well, done with that issue anyway.
