Hello, I have an extremely old Pentium 233 machine I found in my basement, I literally formated it and put XP on it - I'm just going to give it to my younger cousins or my sister. I have two spare video cards I can use with it. Currently it has a Ati Rage II card I believe. The other card is a Nivida Riva 128 Zx card.

With those two available which is the better card to use for this old machine?

I'm not interested in upgrading it or anything, just going to use with what I have at the moment.

Rage II was the precursor to the Rage Pro, one of the best (and longest lasting) Rage cards ever (AT THE TIME). It's supported on everything, but it's REALLY slow and old. The 128ZX is faster (almost as fast as a TNT), but IQ is shit (it was...). Drivers for the Rage will be better; it's old and standard. The 128 may be hard to get recent ones, the Det. don't support them.

The Riva 128 had 8mb, maybe 16 on some models The Rage would have 2, 4 max.

Hey, thats what I have. 233MMX+Rage4mb+DMA33 HD+64MB 66mhz Ram. Good match, nice and slow:D
