I was going through CPU-Z and i was looking at my memory, i have 4 Corsair TWIN2X512 5400C4PRO DDR2 XMS2 PRO. well i noticed that the timings for slots 1 and 3 are different from slots 2 and 4.

why is that?

im new to this stuff

Can you try swapping the modules around to see if it follows the module or if it follows the slot?

All the C4 Pros should identify at 4-4-4-12 as far as I know, that's what should be in the SPD.

i went into my bios and changed it to 4-4-4-12, but it still shows up as what i go in the pic above. i even tryed switching the ram around, two of them allways show up as 4-5-5-15, and the others 4-4-4-15

what am i doing wrong?
 
changing the timings in the bios won't change what's displayed there. that's the SPD.. what the stick is programmed to operate at when things are set to "auto". check the memory tab for the timings and speed that things are actually running at

for figuring out the SPD discrephancy, i suggest taking out one kit, and figuring out from there which ones have the 4-5-5 settings.
