a quick question on ordering a gpu from newegg.

i wanna purchase a gpu from the US via newegg.My sisters gonna buy and brings it with her
on her visit to me .

My question is does newegg secure the stuff decently like extra packaging.
its a purchase of 400 bucks ...dont wanna see that flushed down the shitter (sry for my french)
 
They do air paks a lot. If not air paks, tons of "cardboard paper" so the item does not move inside the shipping box. And if not that, I have received a box full of packing peanuts! oh joy! I really don't mind because I used it to pack anything I sell online. I accumulated a 10lbs of paper from them before I moved. Now I have more packing paper than I need!

Honestly one thing that rubs me the wrong way about the egg is that sometimes when I order something small it gets tossed into a massive box and stuffed with an ungodly amount of paper.

And the one item is always against one of the walls of the box. The least they could do is put down some paper, put the item in, and then put in more paper so it's actually secure.
 
I have bitched and bitched at newegg for the lazy way they pack things and nothing has improved over the years.

its random but probably about 50% of my orders come with pretty poor packing. as mentioned by others they will throw some paper in one side of the box which really does not help much. also they have done stupid crap like put a power supply right on top of memory. it would only take a few more seconds to actually show a little concern about the order being shipped out. believe me it needs to be protected from the typical UPS mayhem that a package can through. everything I have ordered from Amazon has been packed very well though so Newegg loses some of my business for them if its something I think might get damaged.
 
I have been shopping at newegg for nearly 14 years now, and I have never received 1 product that wasnt properly packaged.

Now the shipping company's over the years have destroyed some boxes, but that isn't newegg's fault.

1 time I bought an AC unit, and the box was completely smashed on 1 side. Contacted newegg, sent it back (they paid for the shipping back), and sent me another AC unit, and it came with no dents or anything on the unit.
 
my orders nearly always come form the Memphis wharehouse so maybe those of you that have been lucky are getting them sent from somewhere else.

I have never received a gpu from Memphis that was not flopping around in the box. the only one that ever came from California was packed very well.

Same with me. Everything I order from newegg, always comes from their memphis warehouse loosely packed. The rare times I do get something from their other warehouses, it comes well packed.
 
Well I for my part have received items from the California and NY/NJ warehouses and they've been very well packed, so may have something to do with the actual warehouses they ship out of.

This.

Their packing has gotten worse over the years. I quit using them between the H commissions debacle and after they put an OEM HDD in the bottom of a box with some paper on top. Fortunately that drive worked otherwise I woulda been really pissed.
