While stowing my extra peripheral cables from my power supply using zip ties I accidentally zipped one too tight and had to cut it using a pair of scissors, the problem is that the back edge of the scissors left an indentation in sleeve of one of the wires on one of the PCI-E cables.
So I'm wondering if there is any chance that this could potentially cause serious hardware damage, because I'm getting a 5870 just after Christmas and I'd like to know if it'd be a better idea to get a new power supply rather than run the risk of frying my first top of the line card.
The power supply is only about a year and a half old and hasn't seen any other abuse, this was pretty much just a tight fit that compressed one of the sleeves at a sharp angle.
Thanks in advance and happy holidays!
