Is an enclosure with ducts feasible for a WC setup?

Think a box, rad suspended in the middle somewhere, with ducts for the push/pull?

I know fuck all about this stuff and am just curious.

Without further info or a sketch of what you're trying to do, I would say as long as you can get cool air in and the hot air out, then sure.

I wonder what I replied to...

Anyway. Just a box. ducts coming in from the top and bottom, in the middle is the radiator + fans.

I don't know why I'm even curious. I'm not planning on doing it.

I think he's talking like a box placed somewhere near his computer that would house the rad? if so that should work as long as the rad is getting access to fresh air and is venting out hot air properly

Ah, so a remote rad outside the case? No problem there. Put legs on it and set it right over the AC vent, Haha.

Yep, just a container. Maybe silenced as much as possible.

Not knowing anything, I have no clue what the length of the loop should be, multiple pumps... etc.

Ive considered a solution similar to this before. problem I came across was having to run power out to fans/pump/leds. I suppose its not a huge deal but depending on how far from your components are from the enclosure...

I was thinking about an outside power source, small pico or something, separate from my main PSU. Never went through with it though.. :(

Suggestions:

MM pedestals

DD variety (sexier)

you can always just jump a PSU with a jumper wire in the seperate box. like a little cheap 20 dollar PSU would do fine to power the fans/pumps

I remember a saying that once heard....."a short loop is a happy loop"

Going external is going to lengthen the overall size of the loop
