Hello.

I have a fairly old PC

Athlon 64 3000
BFG GeForce 6600GTOC
1GB Ram
K8N-E Deluxe

I need a graphic card upgrade but i cannot afford to upgrade everything to switch to PCI-E. I made a post here a while back and it was suggested i get a x1950 Pro. So one of my questions is which card would be better for this PC?

Also, while reading up on the 3850 it seems it has some different power connector? Would it even work on my motherboard?

Lastly would i see much of a gain by upgrading to one of these video cards? I mean i can play Mass Effect with my PC as it is, with everything set to low but its still playable, would my CPU be a huge bottleneck or?

Thank you very much in advance for any advice.

Make sure you have a 450W+ power supply.

Then, get the 3850 and another gig of RAM.
