No this is not one of those threads about which proc I should buy which is better the Q6600 or the E6850. There are enough of those threads out there, this tread is about which processor will be available by Quakecon. Right now I have built a MiniATX machine around the Gigabyte GA-G33M-DS2R, in an SG-03 case with a Zalman 8700 heat sink. I have always thought that this machine would be a Quad processor rig but the more I read about the 22nd and the prices the more I worry about if a Q6600 G0 stepping will be available to buy before I leave for Quakecon. Currently I have a choice between the 6850 or the 6750 or getting a older Q6600 B6 rev. So I am not asking which is the better processor for gaming, I am asking which processor can I go out and buy on or before July 30th.

I'd get one of the e6x50 ones if for not other reason than they run cooler which is important in a SFF case. Unless you could find a G0 stepping q6600 which may be a pain as retailers will most likely be selling mixed stock for a while.
