My mom has recently become completely addicted to Farmville on Facebook. I want to know if there is a way to deny her access to the game via my router/network setup. I have a Linksys WRT45G with DD-WRT firmware, 2 computers and an Xbox 360 on my home network. I just wanna play a lil joke on her for a day or so. I don't want to completely block facebook, because i don't want her suspicious. I tried to setup an internet policy blocking apps.facebook.com/onthefarm but it didn't work the way i wanted it to. Any ideas?

You could just set her computer's DNS servers to the OpenDNS servers, instead of setting the router's.

Just add "127.0.0.1 apps.facebook.com " in her hosts file or something. You don't need to run your own DNS server for this.

Now that's just epic. I had thought about doing something with squid, but it hadn't occurred to me to flip images and stuff like that. (I was thinking more devious, like replacing google's logo with a porn-ified version)

Agreed, now i just need to figure out how to do it. I can do things if i have step by step instructions, but theres something im missing. Is this something i can do with Windows? And where would i find the dhcp.conf file?

My wife likes to play that stupid game on face space. Once in a while, I just log into untangle and block twitbook. It is pretty epic. I should setup apps.facebook.com to point to the items I want for Christmas and birthday:) No more socks and underwear for me!
