I'm currently bidding on a case of sorts for a possible mod. The case is a 16-bay JBOD server case. It is twice as wide as a normal case, with 8 drive bays per side. Dimensionally, the case would work for housing a PC. At 33 pounds, the thing must be made of 1mm steel...could prove interesting.
To pull this off, I will need to source an ATX motherboard tray and adapt it to fit the JBOD case...not a problem, since I have access to a full machine shop and can run any of the equipment there.
My problem stems from the aesthetics of the thing. I can do functionality, but I'm not so hot at doing something that has a "look".
Look at the case here:

I would like an "industrial" look, but am unsure how to achieve something that looks good, but doesn't go over the top and look "tacky".
Suggestions?
