I just put together a Shuttle Reflexion XPC. It was purchased in 2003 and sat till now.
2.8gHz P4 (no HT)
250GB WD SATA HD
1GB Kingston RAM
MS XP MCE 2005
220W Power supply

Everything is running OK. I want to add a Video card. I'm considering an eVGA 6800GS AGP. Does anyone have experience with this? Think it will be underpowered? Any other suggestions?

The 7800 GS would be great but is very expensive.

Thanks in advance.

the 6800GS is a very respectable card, pretty much rivals the 7800GS if you overclock it far enough.

But then the 7800gs OC's farther.

I hate this argument.

Honestly though, get the 6800gs. Go to the SFF forum to see if it will be underpowered, they will help ya oiut :)

I doubt it would be. Even the SK21G (that only sports a 200W PSU) has been tested by Shuttle to be fully capable of handling a 7800GS.

If you can afford it then go with the 7800GS and have some extra performance headroom once you start OC'ing, but that's not to say that the 6800GS would leave you hangin' either. :p
