What's the ATI equivalent of a 6800GT? 800pro, XL, or Xt? I need a pci-express card to tide me over until the next gen comes out. None of the ATI supports 3.0 shaders do they?
 
It was supposedly the x800 pro but it can't compete with the 6800 GT (12 pipes vs. 16). The X800 XL runs neck to neck with the 6800 GT in benchmarks but is cheaper in most cases so it's a better buy if you have PCI-E. No, none of the ATI cards support SM 3.0. And the X800 XT is the equivalent of the 6800 ultra.
