• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
    Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

Dunno if this is in the right place or not, but here goes...

It has been debated that 0.999... is equal to 1. The proofs are several, but the easiest one for me to understand is:

1/3 = 0.333...
0.333... * 3 = 0.999...
1/3 * 3 = 1

Someone disputed this by saying the first line is not true. Is it? How is it not?

this is general hardware and this forums doesnt really have a section for random stuff anymore but

X = 0.99999.....

10X = 9.999999.....

10X - X = 9

9X = 9

X = 1

thats what i was taught. its one of the perks about the decimal format of numbers
