A little help with a pesky virus

There's a virus on this computer that AVG virus scanner cant seem to get rid of. After looking over the logs, its apparently hiding in an archived file. How should I go about getting rid of it?

Java Byte Verify or something is the name of it. Any help is appreciated.

Basically you need to clear the java cache. theres a discussion of the problem here:

if your using xp and its in your system restore, then disable your system restore...that'll delete eveything in your restore files...then reenable sysem restore if you feel you need it
