I would like to purchase a 19" or bigger TFT, with 12-16ms response time as im going to use it for gaming, as well as graphical uses.

I also need it to have composite video input, as I need to plug an xbox into it, thus will justify the means to get it, rather then a TV.



Spending £400 would be perfect.. but so far, I can only see the Dell 2001fp that has all of that.... either they have high response times, or no composite...

if anyone has any ideas which tft monitors would be suitable, or ideas that would be appreciated, thanks.

You add a TV tuner card to your PC with “line in”. Makes life easier no?
 
so, you're saying if I buy a 19" TFT, with like 12ms response rate,
then buy a tv tuner card for my pc... I can plug my xbox into that, and it will be outputted onto the TFT???


just wondering if there was any other options then the Dell 2001fp tbh :) and you guys on here seem to know a lot about it.

Only thing I am worried about is that in going for faster response time I will be losing out in picture quality. ie. 16.2 million colours instead of 16.7 and lower contrast and brightness

I would really appreciate hearing someones experience with the Sony SDM HS94P. It looks sharp! (apart from the wide frame!)

Don't forget viewing angles too. That is a bigger problem than you might think at first. I sold my Samsung 710T because of that. All 17" and bigger monitors with the TN matrix have inadequate viewing angles IMO.
