A koolance exos pump.......

I had an aquarius 2 system laying around for a while with a cracked pump/reservoir. I picked up a pump/reservoir made by koolance for an exos system. I have everything hooked up but I have what is probably a dumb question.

The power connection for the pump is a small 2 pin connection, not a regular fan connection like the aquarius. What type of connection is that, and what can I connect it too? I know there's got to be an adapter of some sort. Any thoughts?

Seeing as the EXOS is an all-in-one it is a simple internal (read: proprietarily universal) connector.

One side is postive and one side is negative.

The negative wire will either be black or have a black stripe on it.

Look at the voltage of the pump, and put the wires in the proper place on a normal molex connector, or a fan connector if you prefer.

I was thinking about that already, splicing the wires in, but I've seen those connectors before. As a matter of fact, for anyone who has changed the cooler on 6800GT, it's the same type of connection as the fan to the card.

Then you might find one by referencing threads where people have modded their card with a socket-478 HSF or something, maybe. But honestly, getting a spare molex connector will take you about 5 minutes and only run you about 50 cents for a pack of 5 from radio shack.

All you do is strip off about 1/8th inch of insulation from the end of the wires after cutting their connector off, then crimp the molex pin on with normal pliers, and push the pins through the proper holes on the molex, no splicing or soldering required. Hence why I primarily recommend using a normal molex connector vs a fan connector.

I think I'm going to have to write koolance and ask them.

I THINK it's a 12v pump.

BUT, there is no identification of which is positive/negative on the wires. Usually one would be red, the other black. This time they're brown and blue?
