A good, quiet keyboard

After doing a ton of research, I'm still undecided when it comes to buying a new keyboard. I currently use a Saitek Eclipse II, but it's pretty loud (according to the gf, who's making me buy a new one >.<) plus, I'm kind of sick of using a keyboard with illuminate keys.

So, any good recommendations out there for a quiet/well-built keyboard? I was looking at irocks slim-line, but can't find enough reviews to make me want to purchase one. For some reason, I'm not finding any of the new gaming keyboards attractive either. i.e. Razer Tarantula, Logitech G15 rev.2, Saitek, etc.

Important:

-Quiet
-Sturdy
-Good "typing feel"
-Black (match my theme)
-Within my $20-$100 budget

Thanks!

The quitest keyboards I've used so far have to be one on a laptop and they have standalone "laptop style" keyboards you can buy for the PC as well.

The Tarantula is very quiet, though I see that's on your "do not want" list. Maybe the Lycosa without the silly looking palm rest? I hear it is very quiet, and the key illumination is not very strong, plus you can always turn it off completely.

I have a microsfot wireless desktop 6000 which i believe runs for about $60-70 and is super quiet. The keyboard has a bunch of configurations for comfort front tilt rear tilt, and the keys are curved inward. Real nice for the price.

If you can, go to a store and try them all out. Then order whichever one you like online for cheaper, if possible, lol.

if you want a good quiet keyboard id recommend the logitech wave

very comfortable and quiet

otherwise you can try one of those flexible small keyboards that virtually makes no sound
