Hi all
My Sony dvdrw (DRU-530A) has died after about a year, so im on the look out for a nice new dual layer DVD burner (in the UK), i dont want to buy pioneer or sony again as they have both let me down.

Which are the best makes available?

Samsung, liteOn, LG or NEC?

any particually good deals around at the moment for about £35/$60?

Benq 1640/NEC3540. Nothing better yet, unless you need DVD-RAM, in which case I'd recommend the LG4163B as well.
