I am waiting to get my sr-2 motherboard but i got one problem I thought the corsair 800d was big enough to fit in the motherboard But it ended up being to small if anyone knows a good case that is neat like the corsair 800d I will appreciate it
-thanks

That's what we all want for this form factor of motherboard, trust me. However, the pickins is slim. Mountain Mods and I believe Supermicro make a case to fit this mobo but they are dog ugly to me. I just don't like large unelegant cube cases (Mountain Mods).

Holy COW what a motherboard! I've seen it before, but I've never seen it in a case. This is truly EVGA's labor of love. There is no way they will make a sizable profit off this board. It's their Veyron. Way to go, owning one of these things.

So you buy the tray, then you buy a case. MountainMods has six cases to choose from, to mount this tray without modification. Here is *my* favorite:

Compatible cases:
U2-UFO --> http://www.mountainmods.com/computer-cases-u2ufo-c-21_32.html
Extended U2-UFO --> http://www.mountainmods.com/computer-cases-extended-u2ufo-cyo-c-21_97.html
Ascension --> http://www.mountainmods.com/computer-cases-ascension-c-21_85.html
Extended Ascension --> http://www.mountainmods.com/computer-cases-extended-ascension-cyo-c-21_96.html
Pinnacle 18 --> http://www.mountainmods.com/pinnacle-18-cyo-p-499.html
Pinnacle 24 --> http://www.mountainmods.com/pinnacle-24-cyo-p-498.html

I hope you quad-SLI the GTX 480, in here. You'll want a 240V wall outlet, a 2000 watt PSU, and a sick water cooling set-up to take this beast to its full potential. :)

Wow that case actually manages to make the SR-2 look small... Wait a minute, that's not an SR-2. It doesn't have enough pci slots. What mobo is that?

True, that is no SR-2.. it looks more like a Supermicro H8DCE series mobo.

I'd really like to build a new machine with the SR-2 however the size is what's stopping me at the moment. I wish there were an option that isn't $300+ :(
