A friend of mine has problems...

he downloads from limewire without a virus scanner, but wants to fix his pc :-X

I showed him NOD32, and when he downloaded it and used it, he erased a bunch of stuff, he couldn't get online.

What do you think the cause of his problems are?

He never showed me a log or anything.

You could try running winsockfix. The same thing happened to my father after removing a virus. Winsockfix got him back on line.
