I have built this loop for my pc:
apogee gtz
laing d5 vario
ek 250 res
mcr 320 rad
black ice pro II rad
xspc 4870x2 fc
mcw nbmax nb block

Now I have some pretty dumb questions, but thats the price of being a wc noob... The only parts in my loop that specifically state an inlet and outlet are my pump and cpu block. Is it safe to assume then that everything else doesn't care what port is which, as long as it makes sense in terms of loop order?

Also, would the pump be adversely affected if it isn't straight? The bracket I have for it lets it swivel, and it is currently at a bit of an angle as that is optimal for connecting my tubes.
 
The D5 can be mounted pretty much anyway you want, except for the motor above the impeller. I believe thats about it.

As far as the inlet and outlets of your blocks. I know the GTZ inlet is marked with a dot, the NB doesnt matter, and I doubt the xspc block matters either. Usually cpu blocks do because this will direct the flow of water in the most optimal direct across the cpu.
What Tubing?
Whats your loop order?

res>pump>320>cpu>nb>bipII>gpu>res

Your res should be as high as possible in the loop. Also, the pump should typically feed directly from the res. This ensures it never starves for water and it also make it easier to fill.
 
My res is probably in the middle in terms of the loop, because its fairly large, and any higher would mean it would interfere with my rad.The pump is directly below it, so it shouldn't have any issues not getting water.As for loop order, I did it res-pump-320-cpu-240-gpu-nb-res, but I'm probably gonna redo it as you laid it out because it would reduce the length of my tubing, I used masterkleer 7/16. This loop took up considerably more space than I anticipated, moving my hard drives to the 5.25 bays probably would not be a bad idea. Wish the rocketfish was wider as well, would've made it a bit simpler.
 
No matter how big my case is I always seem to run out of room. I am building a A Plus Black Pearl, Lian Li V2000 rebrand.

My loop:
res>pump>stacked 320's>cpu>nb>320>gpu>gpu>res

Its a bit insane, but my only concern is that my 655 pump has enough power for this loop. Its the same pump as yours sold by Swiftech.
