A few questions about headphones...

If you're looking for a gaming headset (headphones with a mic attached), than I would have to suggest the Sennheiser PC-150/160. I have the PC-160s right now and they sound very good. They have crisp highs and mids, with quick snappy bass.

Also, know that USB versions of headphones generally do NOT sound as good as there 3.5mm counterparts, so avoid the USB versions if you can.

Yeah I didn't realize I messed up the name of my thread, I meant headset but typed headphones. Would it be worth upgrading to that soundcard, I know it's cheap, but will it an improvement over onboard audio?

Yes, it will be.

However I would suggest you to save up and get the Audigy 2 ZS, it's a great music/gamer card :)

Oh! I meant to tell you.

Do not pay $10 for a splitter, go to your local radioshack and get one.

The splitter will cut the signal to the devices in half, but only if you have them both on at the same time.

Thanks, so if I have the speakers off but the headset on I shouldn't lose any quality?
BTW you've been a great help :)

That's correct :)
