ok yesterday i built the rig in my sig below and everything is great however im a bit confused about the way my drives are setup

i have my DVD/CD drive connected to the primary IDE channel and my 300GB HD connected to me secondary IDE channel and my SATA drive connected to a SATA connector on my MB

now in the BIOS it says my liteon drive is a slave and my SATA drive is in the IDE third channel?

is this ok im a bit confused because also in windows my maxtor drive is coming up at drive C and my SATA drive is drive D

is this all normal?
 
I'd put the CD rom drives on the secondary IDE and the 300 on primarty. Make sure the jumpers on master/slave/CS is on write.

Try putting the SATA drive in #3. I've heard some people having issues on I & 2
 
also in BIOS if i set the boot priority to the SATA drive and not the IDE when i go to boot it tries to boot from the CD drive its really weird i dont know why its doing this.......
