This will be hard to explain...

Over the past week I have had some hardcore pc problems.

Problems in order:

1) Tried to power up pc one afternoon, and it sounded like the hd just kept *trying* to spin. That's the best way I can explain it.

2) After it spins a few times, it tells me - BOOT DISK ERROR PLEASE INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND REBOOT - doesnt help.

Now, for the really WEIRD part...sometimes the pc will boot up perfect, untill I restart it, then its back to the Boot disk error.

The pc will reboot itself while playing games.
sluggish performance.

I hope I described this well enough.

TIA for the help.

If you have any vital data on the HDD, back it up now.

Go to the HDD manufacturer's website and they will have some sort of diagnostic software that will check out the health of the disk drive and tell you if anything's up. It sounds like a failing HDD, but it's best to check out and be sure.
