I finally found another X5550 C0/C1 revision that supported Turbo Mode.

Now, my main system is running at 2.93 Ghz @ 100% load.
Translates into a 5,000 PPD Boost with A3 (Native Windows)

CPUz is correct with the multiplyer at 22x. CoreTemp seems to have an error with this.

The second update, as you will see in the photo, is all systems have been upgraded from Server 2008 x64 (Vista Based) to Server 2008 R2 (Windows 7 Based)

This also has resulted in a small ppd boost for all systems due in part to the better thread management.

The third update is still a work in progress. Since I have an extra X5550 sitting here, it will be put into my HTPC. I sold my Q6700 today (here on the forums)

I was slightly worried that an X58 motherboard would not like my Xeon X5550 cpu.
After a little looking, i see that is have been done before.

I have ordered the EVGA LGA 1366 Intel X58 Micro ATX SLI Micro Intel Motherboard.
I can only hope that it works correcly - will know in about 12 hours from now :rolleyes:

That's obviously involving some kind of extreme cooling, but it would be pretty sweet if you could get decent clocks out of your chip on air.

Did not have to take an photos today but here is an update.

1) HTPC build went great. EVGA board runs the X5550 just fine.
Got the OS loaded and working on getting everything setup (XMBC & F@H)

2) Ran into a small issue with my Dual X5550 System.I had noticed it keeps turning off when I run any multimedia files.Turns out the Windows 7 / Server 2008 R2 Realtek Drivers are faulty.

The default microsoft driver does sorta work, but system will crash after 15 min or so of media playback. I had to submit a support ticket with supermicro but it could take weeks for them to duplicate the issue and fix it. In the mean time, i ordered a siig sound card from newegg so i can have sound again.

Sadly that system will be offline until i can reload the OS from all my testing of this issue.
