A dim EQ276W

I've had my EQ276W for about a 1 1/2 years. It has been a good monitor until recently when half the screen went dim. The led back lighting on the left side has either dimmed or gone out, not sure which. Has anyone experienced this? Any ideas? I have done several searches and have not any luck.

Has anyone run across a tutorial on removing the case of this monitor?
