So, my PSU fried last week.
Everything else was tested to be working.
I put in the new PSU tonight.
And my raid bios told me that one drive in my raid 5 array was not being used and the array was degraded.
It looked like the drive was there and working, so after trying a couple things, I told it to rebuild.
So my questions are:
1) Any reason why this happened?
2) How long will it take?
3) Is there any way to check the progress?
4) Do I have to worry about losing any data, it doesn't look like it?
5) Is there any harm in restarting or shutting down the computer while it's rebuilding, if it's not instant, which I didn't think it was?
I have a 3ware 9500S-8 sata raid card.
and 3 seagate 200GB 7200.7 drives in raid 5.
Also connected to it are 2 36GB raptors in raid 0, and a 74GB raptor as a single drive.
The rest of my system is in my sig.
Hopefully you won't have any more questions for me, because I'll be out watching the Terps play.
Thanks for any help.
