Ok I am fixing to dive in to nvidia surround. First question what monitors to use (any thoughts here and why). So far ive decided on the acer G245h x3 or would the 120hz model make that much of a difference. Second it seems most nvidia surround is run in sli not tri sli, is there any benefit in tri sli (which I have). As of now I have decided to keep my 285,s and see what nvidia has up there sleeves here soon. before I spring for the 480,s in hopes the 485,s might show. All criticizm constructive or not is welcome on anything. punctuation is not my forte Plumbing is. thanks

You might be screwed on tri-sli, unless this has changed recently:

"Note: the current driver only supports 3-way SLI on GeForce GTX 400 series. A future driver will add support for 3-way on GTX 200 series."

Unless you have really deep pockets, either go with the Dell u2311h or NEC ea231wmi 23 inch monitors. Both at based off of the same panel and are the first great entry level ips panel ($600 for the Dell 24" ips). The uniformity and richness of color far exceeds the TN panels you see everywhere for cheap.

Only look at a TN if you are a hardcore fps gamer.

Yeah Im in the same boat im diving into surroud/eyefinity and managed to snag 3 u2311h for 239 a piece last night.

Only 4xx cards do tri-sli and apparently the only benefit to the 3rd card right now anyway is when running 3DVS. There is no difference in fps when running surround on non-3d capable monitors, at least from what I have gleaned from those who run tri-sli.
