Ok, some I'm looking at some prices, searched throught this forum, and I've got a few quick questions:

1). What's the difference between the Audigy, Audigy LS, and the Audigy ES?

Searching here produced this:
Getting an Audigy or better will get you EAX 3 & 4, which do work with 2 speaker configurations.
Getting an Audigy 2 will get you DVD-Audio compatibility and better drivers.
Getting an Audigy 2 ZS will get you DTS decoding and better drivers still.

However, that doesn't tell me what the difference between the former 3 is. I've heard that the LS is a cut down version of the NX and that, for all intents and purposes, is basically an Audigy. However, what about the ES?

2). Can the LS and/or ES perform EAX HD (or advanced.....whatever it's called) in 5.1 mode? With or without hacked drivers, it doesn't matter.

3). Do the LS and ES have hardware accleration?

I'm under the pressumption that they don't as their features seem similar to the others, but they're cheaper. Lack of hardware acceleration would seem to be the explaination to me.

4). Are there any other guides to hacking drivers than DriverHeaven.net's thread?

I'm up for reading 24 pages, but a quick link to a guide I could read up on would be kewl.
