Bought an eVGA GeForce 6800 AGP, and it finally arrived yesterday.

Unfortunately, the card didn't work, so I called eVGA's tech support last night at about 11 PM EST, expecting to get some voice mail.

Instead, I got a live person, who was knowledgeable, pleasant, and quite helpful. Even though the problem couldn't be fixed (defective card), I still feel pretty good about eVGA, knowing that at least they try.

Just thought I'd share this experience.

How are they handling the replacement? Are they sending you an advance card?

Wow damn, I shoul've called their support line. I'm still waiting for any sort of notification that my 6600GT is on its way. To get my RMA going, I went through the website. It was approved the first day though.

It's been like a week and change already.

I'm dealing with the vendor first. At least the tech guy gave some reassurance that if things don't work out with the vendor, then they'll intervene.

In my case, after 30 days they make you go through the manufacturer. Besides the slightly higher than newegg prices, that policy is my only problem with mywave.

I have also had quite a bit of experience with evga, and have always had a friendly, helpful person on the other end. I applaud any company in the tech industry now that doesn't outsource their tech support to India.

Let us know how this plays out so people can learn about the reputation of Evga.

What I'd like to know is just how long it takes them to process RMA's. I miss the while-working performance of my 6600GT's.

They recived my RMA on Tuesday and I got a new card Friday of that week. I only live an hour away from eVGA, still pretty quick though.

Did you get any sort of notification beforehand that they were shipping the new card?

Na, I just got a knock on the from UPS on Friday.

I've called eVGA a number of times, sent emails and posted on the forums. I've always had quick, courteous replies. I wouldn't think of buying another brand of card.
