I've got my sisters digital camera here and do not have any batteries for it :(
I really want to use this so i can grab some photos from it, but i'm wondering if i can use one of my spare a/c adaptors that i have lying around on it. The port says DC 6v in, and i have an adaptor with a 6v output that also lits 300mA as it's current. This ac adaptor is for a portable cd player. Would this one work? Or should there be something on an ac adaptor that i'm looking for? ALso the camera takes 4x AA batteries. While i know that would equal the 6v input i don't know how much current that would push. Help anyone?

It will work, but make absolutely certain that the polarity is correct. I have a friend who fried an IBM laptop because he accidentally plugged it into the wrong adapter. The voltage was correct, but positive and negative were switched. If you have a multi-meter around, check it. If not, and there is any doubt, don't do it.

found out that after looking at this link Some odd ac adaptor for digital cameras
that it would seem as if the current of the ac adaptor in question would not be enough to power this thing. Seems digital cameras take a need more power then a cd player. heh ;)
Well i guess it would be true... what does a cd player do? Spin a disc, read data, convert it and then amplify it... guess a camera does a whole load more :p
