Well i've had my 6800gt for sometimes now, and you can also see in my sig that I have an hp bought destop. I want to get as much out of this 400 buck card as I can, and before I had a fx5200 (to whom I told my friend was an ultra good card and their all sold out and gave me 150 for). Should I reformat my hard drive, or do a system recovery? my system recovery discs include windows and a bunch of other useless ads from hp that I ususally delete.

A reformat wouldn't help very much, its not like you're switching card brands or anything.

And let me just say that telling your friend the FX 5200 was an awesome card is quite evil :p

Well........I gues neither helps performance alot, so LET THIS THREAD DIE!!!!!!!!!
My friend actually bought my card because it had the name fx in it, and he thought "whooooooooo, the fx brands like that athlon fx are always gonna be sooooo good!!!!"

haha.. way to educate your 'friend'. The power of the almighty dollar and the drive to make a buck or two.
