9950BE vs. 9850BE

53c is too high for idle unless you are throwing alot of volts at it. Something isn't right there. My 9600BE is 39c with the stock cooler and 32c with my Zalman9500.

When I hit my 70c idle temperature I was over-volting the crap out of the processor trying to get it stable at 3.0GHz.
 
well, i reseated the CPU again, pulled all the gunk off the processor and cooler, found out that there was a hair between the cpu and cooler, (might have something to do with it) and ive dropped my volts down to 1.25 on stock speed and i now idle at 38c.
 
my average load temps are now between 46c and 50c. Need to get me a much better cooler i suppose.
 
Sigh, Fry's now has a 9850BE for $180 no rebate, making it even harder to go with a 9950BE. But I just have a feeling I'd regret not getting a 9950BE. :(
