Hey. Last night I started cutting a dragon design out on my side panel, and I finished it this afternoon. I went through 6 cut off discs, and it turned out quite well I think. I'm not done, though. I am still going to sand the edges moreso, sand the whole case down, and re-paint it (I messed up a couple of times when I was sanding the edges). I also have not fully secured the plexi onto the panel yet (the side opposite of the motherboard side). Oh yeah, and I did not design the dragon myself, I got the drawing off a website, but then I copied that onto the panel and cut it out with my dremel. Tell me what you think...

Pics are here, on the second page

Yes, this is a compaq in a new case. As soon as I get a job (I'm 15, and should be soon), and collect some money, I'm gona buy new everything and build a new comp in this case. Also, if you noticed, I made a custom 5 1/2 bay controller for my neons. That's about it... Tell me what you think!!

EDIT - I forgot to mention, on the motherboard side, what I did was cut the fruity flower design out, and mounted the dragon that had been cut out from the other side between the plexi and the window. I had to trim the tail but other than that it fit perfect.

No offense, but thats the most disney-esk looking dragon I've ever seen.. nothing menacing about it at all..

I appreciate the reply, but 1. who said I was trying to make it look bad-ass/menacing, 2. most dragons look less "menacing" when it's just the outline without any detail, and 3. it was a pain in the ass as it is so keep the smart-ass comments to ureselves. Thanks...

I realy like how you used the cut out dragon from the left window to put in the right window. And the dragon looks fine, some people just like to be critical of others work. I just have one suggestion, ever think of using red cc instead of blue. For some reason when i think of dragons i think of red not blue, but that is just a matter of personal opion. Anyways keep up the good work and cant wait to see what else you have instore for the case.

JEEVES

Thanks for the positive comments. I am not complete it yet. I will most likely get red ccfl's and give it a new paintjob. I am also still working on the edges, so I will fix the claws, add some teeth, etc.

I would have used this as a pattern for a dragon cutout:

That would be the coolest Mod I have ever seen, and then add propane :D, then it would be the hottest (really bad pun intended)

you jacked that pic off homestarrunner.com

Looks spiffy :). You sanding down the edges of that any? It might just be the camera, but some look a bit 'sharp' to me.

I cleaned them a bit, and yes they are extremely sharp :p . I'm still working on it though...

Yea i made a kind of similiar cut to that of the left side of the case, with the dragon cut out.

Mine is the FFVIII griever though. Mine is kind of sharp too, but looks great anyway.

Nicely done, the "frame" for the leftover dragon cut is cool.
