Maxtor D740X maybe? I am not up on my [H]ard|Drive [H]istory like I should be :eek: Never mind, it was released in 2K1. I'll keep digging.

Probably the IBM Deskstar 75GXP. 15GB platters with 7200RPM operation and a seek time of less than 9ms were all milestones that IBM was the first to reach.

Bah get that 22GXP off there, 34GXP for the win! Was the biggest single HD you could get at the time of its release.
