Ok I thought this is very odd... I have a 9800XT and I am getting graphical glitches on the desktop and artifacting in game at normal clockspeed. I have not overclocked the card, and I am curious if anyone has ever heard of somthing like this before. It started when I got Doom III, I got some artifacting so I updated my drivers and it pretty much cleared up, but now it seems to have come back on all my games even. Overdrive is not enabled either. It didnt have any problems before. I have tried multiple newer drivers, and am about to see if the old ones that I used before Doom III do it also. I found it quite bizzare.

Could be an overall heat issue. If you haven't done so recently, clean out all the dust and stuff from all fans and grills and see if that helps the case/cpu temps.

I recently rewired the case, cleaned out the fans, removed the dust collector in front for better airflow. Then just an hour ago i cleaned off the video card fan and heatsink because of this. No luck..

Okay, ignore my last PM to you. Since you rewired, check molex connector on 9800XT?

Molex is fine to the card... Also, when I underclock the card it works fine, although I keep having to turn it down more. Its been about a week since it started, and i have the clock down to 378/337 inorder to get rid of artifacting.

hate to tell you this mate but yor 3D card is DYING!
You'll need to RMA it

happened to my lovely geforce 3 GTS 64mb a few months ago too

Doh! It sounds like you card will only be with you for a little while longer. :(

you could rma it , or add more efficient cooling to, but you should'nt have to do that when it's under warranty and your not planning to oc it.
